One Full Circle

Happy Camper Gourmet are Proud to  be sponsoring the  ONE FULL CIRCLE campaign………

Rachel & Peter Treasure in Front of the Boat “Full Circle”

We have donated 360 meatball meals to Maurice so he can have a great source of protein and energy during his 220 days of travel – that’s over $3500 worth of meals
Maurice Contessi sets sail on the 15th October 2011  to attempt to sail solo unassisted around the globe  to Raise awareness for Motor Neurons Disease (MND)
Unfortunately Maurice attempt to sail around the world failed due to technical issues and at this stage the trip has been put on hold

This attempt will be conducted under the auspices of the UK based World Speed Sailing Records Council (WSSRC), the acknowledged international body for monitoring offshore sailing records. To achieve this Maurice must complete the ‘ratified’ distance of 21,600 nautical miles as set by the World Sailing Speed Racing Council.
Maurice will face all that mother nature will throw at him as he sets off in October of 2011 from Port Phillip Heads at age 53. Returning some 210 – 220 days later in an attempt to set two records;

Rachel Treasure, Maurice Contessi & Peter Treasure a week before Maurice sets sail

1. Become the oldest Australian ,at age 54, to sail non stop unassisted around the world as a privateer yachtsman.
2. Become the fastest Australian to sail a ratified non stop unassisted circumnavigation around the world as a privateer yachtsman.

In so doing, Maurice will become one of only a handful of privateer Australians to complete the course to the official guidelines set by the WSSRC

The Full Circle Campaign team are proud to be working with MND Victoria and MND Australia to help raise funds and bring public attention to Motor Neurone Disease. We look forward to working with you (the public) and our journey sponsors to hopefully one day rid the world of this terrible disease.
