Dear Happy Camper,
Just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your products.
I recently competed in and completed the Big Red Run, a 250km ultra marathon through the Simpson Desert. I ate your meals on the way upto the event, during the event and again on the way home. Lots of other competitors used Back Country freeze dried meals, I have used these in the past but since eating your meals I won’t be using anything but Happy Camper meals from now on. I found your meals to be just like a home cooked meal and so quick and easy to prepare.
I have recommended your meals and will continue to recommend your meals to anyone who requires these sorts of meals as I truly believe your products are fantastic.
My Dad and I have just returned from four weeks travelling the remote
“Canning Stock Route”. We purchased two bucket value packs of your
meals at the Melbourne Caravan & Camping Show. We were very impressed
with how quick, delicious and easy the meals were. Sometimes we heated
them in a pot of boiling water in their bags which was fantastic for
cleaning up, then we were able to use the water for the dishes that
evening. This was great due to the limited amount of water available.
Highly recommend these meals for any outback travellers. The lamb
shank and meatballs were our favourite meals, and the damper was hit
amongst our fellow travellers!. We will definitely be buying these
meals for future four wheel drive trips. Thank you, Trevor & Werner, very happy campers!
We absolutely love your products and have used them when we go camping. Even the odd time at home, so easy to use, delicious and reasonable priced too.
Would there be a dessert version in the near future? For example peaches & custard, mixed berries…………??? Either way whatever you all do I’m sure it will be very scrumptious, thanks for making it easy.

VERY Happy Campers 🙂
Went Kayak Camping on Glenelg river over Labour Day Weekend with a
mate. Bought your food along specifically the Lamb Shanks and
Meatballs. What a feast we had. It was sad at the 2nd camp spot
watching people eat the regular freeze dried suff as they salavated
over our food. This food is the Ferrari of camping food. I’ll be
shopping with you guys for quite a while. Great job.
PS the day after I arrived home had nothing to eat so had the beef and
beans. Also sensational!
Just had my first gourmet meal! No expensive restaurant, just an easy
to prepare delicious meal for The Man of The House and myself. We are
looking forward to trying another selection very soon. I can see these
meals will be popular amongst the camping/caravanning/hiking
community. They may even take off for the elderly folk who don’t want
to cook but want something tasty and tender.
‘Many thanks for a wonderful product.’

G’day Rachel We’ve just been away with a box of your meals, and they were great, quick and easy, no mess ,no preparation, compact and light to cart, plus when the meal was done you had washing up water ready to go. And they tasted good as well, so score 100/100. Thank you for such a good product and Australian Made Grown & owned. We’ll get in touch before our next trip.
‘See you when the mud dries’
I Have just tried the Cattleman’s Stew – once again, brilliant !!!!
heading off to the Simpson Desert & Hay River region early July –
needless to say, Happy Camper will be one of the first “essentials”
packed – bring on dinner !!!
thanks guys, & cheers

“Your lamb shanks were an absolute hit on our Canning Stock Route trip last year. That memorable meal has been entered into our hall of fame for favourite camping tales. We perched our camp on top of a hill with 360 degree views over the stock route and a desert that stretched for hundreds of km’s in every direction and watched the sun set magnificently while enjoying a glass of wine and your delicious lamb shanks. Thanks Chefs!”

The meals have been fantastic. Rob even took a few away on a recent sea kayak expedition through the Capricorn Group of islands, and thoroughly enjoyed them. He also took some commercial dehydrated meals as I didn’t have time to dry any meals for him. None of the “Happy Camper”meals came back, but several of the dehydrated ones did!

I saw your product at the Toowoomba show in July and I was blown away. My Husband wanted to start Caravanning and as we all know using a mobile kitchen is a real pain and eating out of cans isn’t my idea of Yum! But when I saw your meals I actually got excited about the whole idea of camping. How easy drop the bag into boiling water and then 10-15 min later a really nice meal. The shelf life of 18mths is great too I can buy weeks before and just have them sitting in my pantry and even when the kids drop in unannounced as they do I can easily heat one up and there is a meal. I really think that they’re great. Are you going to add different meals, like a curried chicken, fried rice, some vegetarian meals too like Indian Dahl and even a plain rice to add to the meals, oh the mind boggles. Thanks for being so clever and coming up with this product and I hope it goes crazy for you as I’m sure it will. We’ve just bought a Caravan and I’m off to Down Under in Capalaba to stock up.
We recently tried the various varieties of meals you have on offer and
absolutely loved it (in one case it was consumed as a dinner at
My son recently took the lamb shank (his favourite) as part of one of
his meals on his Duke of Edinburgh adventure and was the envy of all
eating the dehydrated food! He thought it was worth carrying the few
Look forward to the new varieties.
And best of all, it is supporting local industry and product.

I ordered your lamb shanks, 1 x mint and 1 x rosemary, plus your
meatballs to see if finally someone had made a tasty reheat meal, and
to my surprise yes you have. The reason i wanted to try them is we are
going to Broome to do the Gibb river road and I was looking for
alternatives to save room in the fridge. These meals are tasty and not
your typical crappy camp meals. Thank you, now I’m waiting for your
stew to come out, hopefully before we go to Broome.
Hi Rachel & Peter.
We are in Temora , following the bad weather home and having your meat balls in tomato and basil on toast! Great and very tasty- terrific after a long day and too tired to cook!

Had the veal shanks last night (with a bottle of Rutherglen Stanton & Killeen Durif) – both were superb !
best wishes, Paul
Hi! I love your products – great food and so easy – hence this order to
provision “Nell Gwyn” for sailing home from Mooloolaba to Portland!
Your great meals will help keep me and my mate Dave warm as we sail down the coast and around the corner in August.
Thanks!! And Cheers!!!!

Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that we bought a mixed carton recently that we took away with us for our month long holiday to the tip of the Cape and the BEST meals we had on our holiday were the Happy Camper Gourmet meals. We loved them! We had never used these meals before so we didn’t know what to expect. We were so delighted with the quality and quantity of the meals. One of our friends got stuck up north so we donated some food for there needs and gave them two meals. They were so appreciative of such wonderful ‘home cooked’ meals.
I would thoroughly recommend these meals to campers as well as anyone who wants a night off at home but still have a quality roast dinner. Might I add the the Drovers Beef and Bean was absolutely delicious.
We were so happy to have found you and will definitely use your products again.
